Ms. Johnnie’s Safe Haven Child Care Center came highly recommended by one of my neighbors.  She couldn’t say enough great things about the level of care and development provided for her young daughter and niece.  As a relatively new mother who had never placed my three-year-old twin boys in the care of an external family member I was a bit reserved and reasonably nervous.

I spoke with Johnnie on the phone and set up a time when I could tour her center and learn more about her program.  Within moments of being in her center my nerves were instantly calmed and all of my worries had immediately dissipated.  The positive energy and her nurturing spirit permeated the premises.  It took about six months before my twins could enroll full-time and I can unequivocally say that it was worth the wait!

My family and I are absolutely impressed with Ms. Johnnie’s program.   We are so pleased that they incorporate fundamental Christian principals and core values that coincide with our personal upbringing.  The children are taught values, principles and etiquette that groom children into becoming smart, respectful and confident individuals.  They are taught life lessons that will undoubtedly stay with the children forever and are worthy of tremendous praise.

Ms. Johnnie and Ms. Jasmine are excellent with keeping parents abreast of pertinent information.  I am very appreciative of the open dialogue that she has with her parents.  She takes every concern seriously and works diligently with the parents to ensure that everyone is on the same page.

When Ms. Johnnie talks about the children’s activities, be it past, present or future, her visible enthusiasm is so refreshing and affirms that childcare is her true calling and her craft.  I am reminded everyday how fortunate I am that Ms. Johnnie and Ms. Jasmine are in our lives.  I enjoy sharing my children’s experiences with others.  Often times, people are amazed at the plethora of activities the children engage in.  My kids love sharing what they have learned with me.  Ms. Johnnie is very interactive with all of the children and extremely skilled and creative with making learning fun.  She can transform the most mundane tasks into something fun and exciting.

With all of the daily challenges and stressors that accompany everyday life, it is a tremendous relief to never worry about my children while they’re in her care. -- Mr. & Mrs. Turman
